Salary ranging from UPS, MPS, SEN, £40,960.00 - £43,166.00, dependent on whether or not you hold the ToD Mandatory Qualification.
Here at Devon County Council a fantastic opportunity has arisen and we are looking to recruit either:
The main purpose of your role will be to work as a member of the Sensory & Physical Team, consisting of Advisory Teachers, Advisory Deaf Inclusion Worker & Senior Sensory Advisor.
You be responsible for monitoring and teaching a caseload of children and young people aged 0-25 years who are deaf or have a hearing loss, across a range of different educational settings, including working in the home with parents/careers.
Major Tasks and Activities:
• Promote the successful inclusion and learning opportunities of CYP with Hearing loss in all educational settings
• Provide advice and training to schools to facilitate teachers addressing the particular educational needs of CYP who have a hearing loss, which will allow increased capacity in schools & ability to meet individual need at universal & targeted level.• Teaching & modelling good practice
• Building capacity within schools through training and awareness raising.
• Work closely with class teachers,special needs co-ordinators and teaching assistants in schools to develop effective teaching strategies, adaptations and successful inclusion in relation to individuals and groups of CYP who have a hearing loss
• To manage an active caseload of CYP, who have been identified though the Request for Access pathway.
