Head of Devon Audit Partnership
At Devon Audit Partnership, we strive to be recognised for the quality of service, expertise and support we offer to the public and not for profit sector. So, we’re looking for a committed, ambitious Head to join our Partnership team, and aid us on our mission to be a leading provider of internal audit and assurance services to partners and external clients. Our shared service arrangement seeks to undertake work which will deliver sustainable and continuous improvement, paying special attention to the needs of local communities and our customers.
Working as the Head of our team, you will play a key part in providing strategic leadership, management, and development of the Devon Audit Partnership. Your authority and support will be instrumental in allowing clients to achieve their objectives effectively and benefit the communities throughout the county, to make a positive difference.
At the front and centre of The Partnership, you will provide professional and effective internal audit, risk management and counter fraud service that meets requirements and management needs of several external clients (including upper and lower tier Councils, schools, academies, blue light services, and national park authorities). In this role, you will be presented with a unique, exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise and make beneficial change, driving The Partnership forwards at a time when clients are delivering services in different, creative and varied ways. You will have a meaningful impact on both the teams you lead internally, and the clients you aid externally. With your advice, Devon Audit Partnership will provide added-value to customers, protect public resources and so much more.
About You
We’re looking for a motivated, hard-working individual who is flexible and can demonstrate they are adaptable to change and being creative about taking The Partnership forwards. To succeed in this role, you must have expertise in leadership, performance management, professional development of staff and a clear understanding of internal audit, risk management and counter fraud. A hunger for consistently providing work of a professional quality. It is essential that you can showcase developed networking and partnership working skills, so we are sure that long-lasting relationships can be positively built with a wide range of internal and external clients.
You will be actively leading, coaching, and helping to grow our team from the get-go, so The Partnership can be taken to the next level. It is imperative that you can work closely with our customers and other organisations to achieve our vision, always putting their needs first in an honest, fair, and open manner. So we can all find the best solutions for the present and the future.

If you want flexible choice as to where you work from, alongside the chance to make a real difference in amongst one of the UK’s most vibrant counties, we’d love to hear from you.
