This post is a strategic role within Digital Transformation and Business Support which leads the planning and operational delivery of specialist support to a range of frontline and corporate services within Devon County Council.
The County Business Manager is the strategic link for named Heads of Service and their Senior Leadership Teams, providing a professional support service.
The post holder will work closely with services to align support to the changing needs of the business and to ensure strategic fit between the needs of the service and resources available.
Business Support plays a key role in the effective delivery of demand led, statutory and high-profile services such as Adult Care and Health and Children’s Services.
You will succeed in this role by your ability to develop productive working relationships with senior and operational service managers; engender a whole team ethos across a range of staff and functions; lead and motivate your teams to deliver a high quality, flexible and responsive support service and be able to travel as required to meet business needs.
