We are looking for a dynamic, well organised project manager to deliver our Food Rescue Project. This 3 year lottery funded project will facilitate community volunteers to rescue surplus food and redistribute it to individuals, households and groups in order to feed people and prevent it from going to waste. Food Rescue will reduce food waste by providing 10 Community Fridges around the county; glean farm produce up to 5 times a season and promote the Olio App. The project is about giving communities the skills to help themselves – working with volunteers and local community groups to set this project up will enhance experience, skills and capacity across Devon into the future. The Project Manager will need to build trust and connections within communities and therefore wellbeing and resilience through their collaborative and sharing nature. The post holder will need to have excellent networking and interpersonal skills and a passion to make a difference.
As well as working on an amazing project you will also be working in the beautiful county of Devon for a forward thinking and high performing authority as part of a friendly Waste Management Team.
