We are looking for a Planning Support Officer to join our small and friendly team to help makes things happen on the ground. The role involves monitoring of legal agreements to ensure vital infrastructure such as new schools and transport improvements are provided at the appropriate time. We will soon have new duties relating to improvement of biodiversity in the County and the job will involve the monitoring of agreements made in connection with this.
We deal with planning applications and plan making and the job involves the provision technical and administrative support to help with this function, the managing of our planning systems databases and reporting on our performance.
The successful candidate will have experience of supporting team working and project delivery with good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as an individual and part of a team. You will have significant IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and the use and management of databases.
Whilst this is offered as a full-time position, candidates wish to work part time will be considered.
