We are seeking to employ an Experienced Social Worker in the Child and Parent Assessment Team (CPAT) to undertake parenting assessments.
As part of Devon’s Childrens Service you will be joining a stable and experienced team of childcare social workers and specialist family practitioners who deliver parenting assessments either undertaken within child and parent fostering arrangements or with families in the community. You will be supporting with our delivery of restorative social work practice, keeping families and children at the centre of all that we do. This post requires social workers to have experience of assessment and court work and the ability to travel around the county. You will be part of a ‘Team’ approach undertaking specialist parenting assessment work alongside experienced Child and parent foster carers, providing families with the opportunity to be supported in their parenting.
Collaborative and innovative in your approach, you will be passionately committed to making a positive difference to children, young people and their families in Devon. You will have knowledge and understanding of the legislation, models and theories relevant to childrens social work, excellent written and verbal communication skills, an ability to build effective professional relationships and excellent recording and planning skills.
