Job Description
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced adult learning professional with extensive experience regarding ESOL / languages to join Learn Devon as Curriculum Coordinator for Language and Communication.
You will be responsible for developing and managing a flexible, innovative and responsive curriculum area that meets the changing needs of Devon's residents as well as the Council's strategic priorities. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality provision and learner outcomes with clear progression opportunities and sustainable destinations for learners and lead the drive for continuous development in your area across all aspects of delivery.
We are seeking someone with the vision and drive to develop our provision and extend the range of outcomes for our learners. You will be responsible to the Curriculum Team Leader and be expected to promote and support the progress of our learners and empower the whole staff team to deliver the highest quality of teaching and learning.
This provision is aimed at adults, although a good understanding of intergenerational learning is necessary. Experience of teaching in these areas and knowledge of awarding bodies is required. Along with your curriculum expertise, you will be experienced in managing your own portfolio of work and have been a successful teacher who will develop positive internal and external partnerships to inform curriculum development and planning.
