The Traffic Orders, Policy and Programme Team provides a high profile County wide service, and delivers traffic schemes, ranging from speed and parking management schemes, to maintenance of signs, lines and road studs, to an approximate value of £2m per annum. The team’s work includes the design and implementation of all key traffic management interventions, processing all Traffic Regulation Orders for the Authority, maintenance of signing and lining, and a lead role on Policy Matters.
You will possess good communication, problem solving and organisational skills, and be comfortable engaging with our customers, elected representatives, and stakeholders. You will have an interest in developing an understanding of traffic engineering principles and local government.
You will be competent at using computer based systems including Microsoft Office and will be required to work as part of the team across Devon to deliver an annual programme of work on time and to budget.
This role will require occasional site work at locations around Devon and requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
