Deputy Enabling Manager Reaching for Independence

Reaching for Independence is a dynamic short-term service which promotes independence, self-confidence, and wellbeing and inclusion. We work with people from aged 17 years to age of 65 years plus.
We build on an individuals’ strengths, aspirations, and goals using a solution focussed approach and strength- based practice. We work closely with individuals and their families/carers and support network to achieve their goals.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a developing service which supports individuals with short or long-term conditions to promote, develop and sustain their independence, enabling individuals in all aspects of daily living such as:
As a deputy manager you will be responsible for developing and managing the service on a day-to-day basis co -working with another deputy manager and under the direction of the Reaching for Independence Enabling Manager. There will be a requirement to deputise for the Manager in their absence.
You will be responsible for premises management for the two office bases, in Honiton and Exmouth, the line management of staff, offering supervisions and appraisals and identifying training and development needs. The role also involves triaging referrals and managing an efficient workflow and setting targets for staff. .
To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrable experience of leading and managing service delivery and developing a diverse staff team in similar services and settings, good observational, recording and communication skills. You will need to be dynamic, resilient, forward thinking, and able to work in a changing environment with the ability to multitask.
A key requirement of the role is to build and maintain effective relationships with individuals, parents, carers, providers, commissioners, and the wider community, working alongside Community Health and Social Care teams and other professional agencies.
